More good results for our Junior rider
Another 2 weeks have passed and our resident junior cyclist, Josh has been going from strength to strength in his road racing.
In his first year as a junior, Josh has been competing in road races and time trials since early March. After some good training and having been given some structured training plans from Dean Barnett, Welland Valley CC’s guru, Josh’s results are starting to shine through:
The last 2 weeks have seen Josh ride 2 NCRA circuit races at Rockingham Motor Speedway. In the first race, after one hours racing on a short circuit, Josh sprinted to an excellent 3rd place. In the latest round, he went one better to spring to 2nd place, just being pipped on the line. This is after his 5th place in the NCRA Handicap road race at Southwick, Northants back in March
A total of 21 points on the road so far, and only 19 to go until he achieves his 2nd cat licence!
All this and still in his first year of competition against riders with some age advantages.
The win is imminent!
